Phyllis Kung, MAOM, L.Ac. (PK)
Phyllis Kung is a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese medicine herbalist. She specializes in fertility and gynecological issues, cosmetic acupuncture, and helping people cope with the stress and muck of modern life.
Phyllis graduated from the Texas Health Science University with a Masters in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine in 2010 and later that year opened PK Acupuncture & Wellness. Her post-graduate studies include chronic pain, fertility and Tung-style acupuncture, with extensive work in facial rejuvenation acupuncture and traditional Chinese face reading. She had the unique opportunity to study at the Zhejiang Chinese Medicine University in China, shadowing some of the region’s best Chinese herbalists and clinical practitioners.
Phyllis comes from a family of Chinese medicine practitioners. Her aunt, uncle, three cousins and sister all practice acupuncture and Chinese medicine as well.
Phyllis knows that stress, whether due to external factors or self-induced, is the root of all that ails us. Through the restorative work that acupuncture and Chinese herbs can provide, she aims to help others reconnect their bodies and their minds to live harmoniously as one.
Practicing what she preaches, Phyllis makes times for her loves: Kingsley (her dog), Henry (her son), Joseph (her partner-in-life and acupuncture guinea pig), and Homeslice (her favorite Italian sub shop). She enjoys yoga, running (intermittently), hiking and rock climbing. She is also an active member of the Junior League of Austin.
